Product Overview

Make your existing smartphone case or compatible device part of the SP Connect mounting system with the Universal Interface. This slim adhesive adaptor attaches to a suitable flat surface, eliminating the need for a model-specific SP Connect phone case.

Once installed, the patented Twist-to-Lock mechanism allows the device to connect quickly and securely to compatible SP Connect mounts for bicycles, motorcycles, cars, golf trolleys and other everyday applications. The included SPC+ adaptor also provides flexible compatibility across SP Connect mounting-system generations.

Compatible Surfaces

The adhesive is designed for many clean, flat and non-porous surfaces, including:

• Hard plastic

• Glass

• Metal

• Painted surfaces

• Selected smooth phone cases

Adhesion can vary between materials and surface finishes. The interface is not recommended for rough, uneven, curved, porous, heavily textured or rubberised surfaces.

Installation

• Clean the installation area thoroughly to remove dust, oil and residue.

• Allow the surface to dry completely.

• Centre the Universal Interface on a flat area measuring at least 55 × 65mm.

• Remove the adhesive backing and press the interface firmly into place.

• Allow approximately 1–2 hours for the adhesive to establish before attaching it to a mount.

Important Information

The adhesive is intended for one-time application and cannot be reliably repositioned or reused after removal. SP Connect recommends fitting the interface to a suitable phone case rather than directly to the smartphone, as some devices have coatings or removable rear panels that may affect adhesion.

A phone case, smartphone and SP Connect base mount are not included. Wireless charging performance is not guaranteed once the interface is attached, as its position and thickness may interfere with the charging coil.
