GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Convert a compatible internal 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or solid-state drive into portable USB storage with the Simplecom SE203 Enclosure. Its tool-free sliding design allows a drive to be installed or replaced in seconds without screws or specialist equipment.

The USB 3.0 interface supports transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps and remains backwards compatible with USB 2.0. UASP support delivers more efficient data transfers on compatible systems, while automatic sleep and spin-down help reduce power consumption and unnecessary drive operation.

A hard drive or SSD is not included. This enclosure supports 2.5-inch SATA drives only and is not compatible with M.2 SATA, M.2 NVMe, 3.5-inch desktop drives or IDE drives.

After installing the drive, engage the enclosure’s locking switch to improve stability and help maintain a reliable data connection. Actual transfer speeds depend on the installed drive, USB port, operating system and computer hardware.

Always safely eject the drive through the operating system before disconnecting the enclosure or exchanging the installed drive.
