The multi-coated optical glass maximises light transmission and works with the camera’s stitching algorithm to produce clean, seamless footage. Once installed, the Insta360 X5 automatically recognises the guards and activates Lens Guard Mode, allowing you to start shooting without manually adjusting the settings.

Installation

Align the raised section of each guard with the corresponding slot around the camera lens. Rotate the guard clockwise until its notch aligns with the camera’s microphone. Confirm that the Lens Guard Mode icon appears on the X5 display before recording.

Important Information

The Premium Lens Guards are not waterproof and should not be used in rain, underwater or during water-based activities. Remove them before installing the camera in a dive case.

Keep the camera lenses, guards and surrounding areas clean and completely dry to prevent fogging. Lens guards may introduce additional reflections or slightly reduce light transmission in certain conditions. They also contain magnets and should be kept away from pacemakers and other magnetically sensitive devices.
