Additional Information
Mips® Protection
The Mips® system incorporates a low-friction layer inside the helmet. During certain angled impacts, this layer allows controlled movement between the rider’s head and the helmet, helping reduce rotational forces that might otherwise be transferred to the brain.
Youth-Specific Fit
The Youth V1 is manufactured with a dedicated youth shell and two EPS sizes to provide a secure, proportionate fit. The helmet should feel firm and even around the head without causing painful pressure points or moving excessively when correctly fastened.
If the rider’s head measurement falls outside the youth size range, an adult helmet should be selected instead of forcing an unsuitable youth size.
Ventilation and Comfort
Seven intake vents direct fresh air through the helmet, while four exhaust vents help release warm air. The removable comfort liner and cheek pads can be washed after dusty, muddy or warm riding sessions.
Adjustable Breakaway Visor
The adjustable visor can be positioned according to the rider’s needs. Its breakaway side screws are designed to release during certain impacts, helping reduce the forces transmitted through the visor and helmet.
Care Instructions
- Remove the liner and cheek pads before washing
- Hand wash removable components using cold water and mild soap
- Allow all components to air dry completely
- Clean the shell with a soft, damp cloth
- Do not use petrol, solvents or abrasive cleaning products
- Do not place the helmet or liner in a washing machine or clothes dryer
- Avoid contact with aerosol sprays, insect repellent and sunscreen, as these may damage the finish
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme heat
Safety Notice
An adult should confirm the helmet fits correctly and that the chin strap is securely fastened before every ride. Inspect the shell, visor, liner and fastening components regularly. Replace the helmet following a significant impact, even if no external damage is visible.
Confirm that the helmet’s certification complies with the regulations applicable to the intended activity and Australian state or territory.
